Donna Rizzo became a full time clay artist in 2003, after leaving a long career in dance.
She has received both the Governors Award in The Arts (distinguished artist) and a Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant.
In 2005, she was awarded an honorary mention for the Best of Tennessee State Museum Show, and her carousel "Alice Goes Round" was chosen for the 2010 Best of Tennessee Arts and Crafts Biannual Show.
Donna exhibits her work nationally through arts and crafts shows and galleries.
In middle Tennessee, her work can be seen at The Arts Company, Lequire Gallery, Atelier, Custom House Museum and Cultural Center, Arts at the Airport - Nashville International Airport and on permanent display at the Tennesse Arts Commission.
