Sheri Reno
Digital Photography Class

 Above & Beyond
4 week class - $150.00

Classes to be held Tuesdays 6:30-9:00 pm
Beginning February 23rd

This class will be for the person who would like to learn to use the aperture and shutter speeds most effectively and creatively.  You will learn to compose your image and touch on some lighting techniques.  This is a class targeted to the photographer with an SLR  and/or a camera that can be used in "manual" mode. Keep in mind that if you have a film camera, this class CAN be for you as well.   Sheri feels that to take total control of your camera and arrive at the image you want, you should understand fully the manual aspect of photography.

You are asked to have a working knowledge of your camera. We will not spend class time learning to use and find our way around each individual camera. If you feel a bit uneasy about the different parts and uses of your camera, please bring the manual.

Sheri Reno is the owner of Fine Art Photography and has owned and operated a studio for 27 years.  Her resume consists of many facets of photography including the commercial world  (Coleco Toys, Federal Express, Service Merchandise catalogs, Builder Architect Magazine) just to name a few.  She is an award-winning Portrait, Commercial  and Wedding photographer.  She taught portrait studio lighting and posing classes through Memphis State for three semesters (evening classes) and is now located in Kingston Springs and has called this area "home" for ten years.       www.sherireno.com

Call for Craft Artisans!

Adornments, a small retail gallery in the Factory at Franklin, is looking into starting a new venture.  We would like to expand into a larger space in the Factory and provide studio/retail space for several craft artisans.  The space is 3,000 + square feet lofted over the common area in the main building at the Factory.  It can be seen from the ground floor from several popular restaurants/cafes and is directly across from the South Gate Gallery.

Our proposal is that we would provide several small booth-sized studios ranging in size from 5x5 to 10x10 and up charging rent based on the size of the space required (rate per square foot not yet set).  In return, we would provide the following:

             1) 24 hour studio access
            2) Communal display space overseen by Adornments staff
            3) Free wireless internet access
            4) Free utilities
            5) Free advertisement in various publications such as the Tennessean and VIP
                        Magazine
            6) Free advertisement on the Adornments website (http://Adornments-Online.net)
            7) Free use of our sales team and equipment including:
-A sales associate on location during business hours to process sales
-Use of a credit card machine to enable artisans to accept all major credit
cards including Master Card, Visa, American Express, and
                                    Discover
                        -Packaging supplies

All of this will enable artists to have their work sold whether they are present or
not at the time   of sale without any commission taken by Adornments.

Adornments has yet to lease the space in question; in order for this to happen, we need to find artists who are willing to commit to taking studio/retail space with us.  We prefer that any artist who takes studio space with us be able to commit to working in their studio during the day a few days a week so that the public will be able to see craft artisans at work on their art.  It is also possible for groups to rent the same space to share the cost of rent and switch off on days in the studio space at no additional cost.

If you are interested in learning more about this venture, please contact:
