professional artists teaching classes and workshops in various arts. The
gallery will have not only pottery, but paintings, wood carvings, stained
glass, fiber art, photography and so much more.
Classes will
begin in January and I am trying to line up artists that are interested in
teaching. If you can pass along the information to the TACA members, that
would be so helpful. They can reach me at 615-646-6644, MudPuddle@Bellsouth.net, or through the website at www.HarpethArtCenter.com The Nashville Association of Art Dealers host every first Thursday "Art After Hours" 5 to 7 PM.

Center for the Arts Harpeth This brings us to the fact that these events require
time and energy. If you want to see CV-TACA flourish and offer these
opportunities it is imperative that more of the 200 members step up and
volunteer. Call any board member to learn what is needed, everyone has talent
to contribute! Election of officers was held at the meeting, November 10, 2009. With no new volunteers or nominations the results are: President: Bill Heim; Vice-president: Brenda Stein; Treasurer: Ramsey Hall; Secretary: Sheila Downs; Board Reps: Ron Olson and Bill Heim; Event Coordinator: Paula Bowers-Hotvedt; Tech Support: Judy Heim. CV-TACA Web Page: If you are not on this page with info about you and your work, this is a missed opportunity that is always open. Judy Heim is there to help if you are technically challenged. Also if you are not getting any emails from CV-TACA that is because you have not signed up thru the Web page to receive Emails. SIGN UP IF YOU WANT TO BE UP TO DATE ON ALL THE LATEST HAPPENINGS WITH CV-TACA. Centennial Art Center News Centennial Art Center and Lena Lucas, gallery manager and
instructor have been under pressure from the Metro Council Budget. For a time
it looked like the Center would be closed and Memo from the President. We had the latest TACA Board meeting this past weekend. Some notes of interest. Two new committees were formed, one to look at the options available to move the spring and fall fairs to a more favorable location. The other is whether to allow 2D art into the fairs. All options are open and on the table. Another committee was announced to search for a new Executive Director. For your information, TACA is alive and doing well. All chapters reported, and have many and divers things going on all across the state – shows, fund raising and numerous holiday parties. Remember to come to the Brentwood Library all next year to see your fellow artists on display there. Remember CV-TACA is a member organization and we need your help to make things happen. If you have a few hours a month, let us know and we will make use of your time in a good and effective way. We are planning to help Channel 8 Public TV answer their phones for a fund drive. It would be from 5 to 9 PM one night. If you would be interested, please let me know. I need about 8-10 people. Hope to see you at our next meeting. 2010 Meeting Schedule In an attempt to standardize the meeting times and dates for 2010, we will be meeting on the FIRST TUESDAYS of the months of: March (March 2) June (June 1) September (September 7) December (December 7) All meetings will be at Watkins Design School, Metro Center, and start at 6:00pm.
