Hello fellow CV-TACA Members!

NEXT MEETING - September 7th

We will have lots to talk about at our next CV-TACA meeting on September 7th, 6:00 PM at Watkins Design School in Metro Center.

The TACA board meeting was recently held in Chattanooga. Once the meeting notes are published, I will forward them to everyone who has signed up to get official CV-TACA EMAILS. Check out YOUR WEBSITE, www.cvtaca.org, if you need instructions on how to sign up for those emails. There were a number of new and exciting things discussed and passed by the TACA board.

For those that are not aware, we are currently having a great show of 33 CV-TACA artists at the Centennial Art Center Gallery in Centennial Park. What an impressive display of talent! If at all possible, everyone needs to drop by and check out your fellow CV-TACA members.

TO BE DISCUSSED AT THE 9-7 MEETING: Anyone who has not had work on display at the Brentwood Library in 2010 needs to get in touch with Bill Heim and sign up for this great opportunity for 2011 ASAP. This is open to all CV-TACA members. The first 12 to be juried into this opportunity will be the lucky participants. Again, contact Bill Heim for instructions.

TO BE DISCUSSED AT THE 9-7 MEETING: Another great opportunity has been launched with the Tennessee State Parks. By the way, this has been in the works for the last year. All artists who are interested in a display of their work at local state parks needs to contact Bill Heim to find out all the details.

DESPERATE NEED FOR CV-TACA OFFICERS: To all the artists that make use of the many opportunities that the CV-TACA officers have worked so diligently to make happen, please think of a little pay back. Volunteer to help, or better yet, become an officer and support your fellow artists. We are in need of someone who is willing to take over the job as Secretary for CV-TACA. This takes about 2-4 hours every three months to write and send out the newsletter. The Treasurer, Vice President and President positions are also, always, open. If you disagree with how things are being done or have a better idea for a process, now is the time to make a difference.

AND ONCE AGAIN A PLEA FROM YOUR TECH SUPPORT PERSON: Please sign up on the www.cvtaca.org website to receive emails from your officers and the opportunities that the state TACA office passes on to them. Also, many of you are missing the opportunity to have a free, personal webpage with contact info as a part of your membership. Contact Judy through the cvtaca.org website for the how-to.
