For nearly ten
years I have had a small studio in my garage where I have been able to enjoy
the simple, exciting, yet sometimes
frustrating labor of love that pottery brings.
Most of the work I create is functional ware from the small mugs to
large platters and lamps. Teapots are
still such a favorite, I do not believe I will ever tire of making
teapots. My work also includes Raku ware
which is considered to be more decorative in function but so enjoyable to
produce because of the unpredictable method of firing. Ultimately, what I really treasure are the
simple, functional, skillfully thrown pieces that can be used and enjoyed for
many years and generations to come.
