President’s Notes
Welcome to Spring. And welcome to more changes
with CV TACA. Remember, we are a
member driven association. If you have ideas, share them. If you can volunteer,
please do so. If you are so busy you only have time to be a member, thank you
for your support.
I would like to
take this time to thank the new members for joining with us. Also, everyone
always appreciates the returning members – whether from last year or several years ago. We are a unique group of
talent and skill.
About being a
volunteer, Spring Fair is just around
the corner. May 1, 2, and 3. If you
are not participating as a vendor, please consider hanging out at Centennial Park for the weekend and
helping the organization. There is always a need for booth sitters, breakfast
helpers, and general assistance. Besides, it is fun to spend some time
visiting, sharing, and unwinding – and being there for others!
I hope you
notice the exciting things going on with CV
TACA this year. The website is quite impressive. It is great to see so many
quality artists work in one place. The Winter
Workshop that was hosted with Highland
Rim was attended by an appreciative group. Paula Bowers-Hotvedt is working on a “CV Only” fair at Centennial Arts Center.
Also, we hope that the emailing process
is better for those of you who do not want the disruption.
Hope to see you
at Spring Fair.
Bill

Spring
Chapter Meeting
Our Spring
meeting was held March 11 at Watkins School at Metrocenter. The topic was
Digital Imaging, the next step –
a very broad area! Hopefully those attending acquired something of value.
Briefly –
1) Take the best quality image
you can. 2) Make minor corrections
to light or color or accuracy. 3) Size
your image for the application – slide, photograph, or online application.

Email Opportunities
Many of you
have signed up for the CV TACA email
list. For those who do not know about it – NO FURTHER MASS EMAILS will be sent out from the CV officers unless
you have “subscribed” to the
service.
This is a
relief to some of you who just want to support the association, but are not
interested in the opportunities that we occasionally pass on. You will still
receive this printed newsletter, but not the annoying emails.
If you want to
stay up to date on small, last minute items you need this service. Go to www.cvtaca.org, click the “newsletters” page, and follow the
instructions there. We’ll get you on the list. If you have any problems, just
email judy@cvtaca.org
and she’ll get it taken care of.
If you are a
subscriber to the list, be sure to check your junk mail folder to see if anything has drifted into it. Your email
service may be blocking us.
Opportunities
will also be posted on the “opportunities”
page of the website as Judy gets to it.

the arts provide a valuable product and service to the community.
Events run from
10:30 to 3:30 at Legislative Plaza.
