CV

possible.

#2 Brentwood
Library has opened their lobby display cases to CV TACA members ONLY for all of
2010. Space is available on a first come basis. For those of you that have not
been to the Brentwood Library, their display case is top-notch. A great place
to display and, hopefully, sell your work. You need to contact Bill Heim ASAP
(615-273-2147 redoaktn@dtccom.net)
if you hope to display in this great showcase. Space is filling up fast.
#3 For those of you who wonder “How come I
don’t get any email information from CV TACA?” YOU MUST sign up through the CV
TACA webpage (www.cvtaca.org)
to receive our email updates.
#4 Don’t forget TACA Fall Fair, September
25-27 in Centennial Park in Nashville.
#5 Scott Hodes, the GlassMan, is working to
get a phone tree up and running. If you would like to help (less then an hour a
month) call Scott at cell 615-804-3424 or home 615-591-5523. What a great way
to talk to your fellow artists.
#6 The resident wood artist at Appalachian
Craft Center is building CV TACA 35 pedestals to use at the up and coming
exhibitions that are being planned. This was voted on and approved at the last
meeting. The cost will be approximately $1700.
#7 We had a great speaker at our last meeting,
Megan McInnis. She gave a too-short discussion, 45 minutes, on how to promote
yourself at your next craft fair.
#8 Bill Heim and Tim Hintz are working on our
next workshop for late winter (Feb – April) 2010. Shortly, we will have a more
specific date, cost, subject, and presenters. Keep your eyes open for the next
TACA workshop. This will be the third year in a row for this valuable member
service.
#9 CV TACA had a show scheduled at Centennial Art Center
for August of this year. Members wanted this event, BUT due to not enough
interest or commitment from artist
members, the show had to be cancelled.
#10
Continue to monitor the webpage,
www.cvtaca.org, for upcoming events of interest to members.
#11 Donna Rizzo will be keeping us informed about
the Saturday night Art Crawl that takes place in downtown Nashville.
#12 Election of officers will take place at our
next meeting, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2009. If you would like to volunteer as an
officer please let Bill Heim know.

Heim, president
